NDG Barter Network
How it works and how it can benefit you!
The barter network works when individual who have a service or goods they want to trade in return for trade currency (i.e. NDG Barter Bucks). In return that individual can use those Buck to purchase services and goods from other members! Using a new online market, members can post their profiles and wares for all other members to see.
The MarketPlace
The market places is an area on the time banks network solely devoted to NDG Barter Network members. In this area, member create a profile, describe themselves and make available what they have to offer. As our membership database grows new services and goods are made available to the community for purchase.
An example: Mary has allot books she no longer reads. Mary posts them on the network. Other members see the books and they are interested in purchasing them. They contact Mary buy the books for Barter Bucks. Mary in turn ask David ( a handyman) if he would fix a couple of things around the house for a determined amount of Bucks per hour, David agrees and begins work for Mary on a pre determined day. David now has enough Bucks to purchase the tool kit he was eyeing from Tom...
The Barter networks works when we participate. Every month we encourage members to come out to a monthly potluck where we exchange news on latest events and organize local market places where we all bring our wares to be bought and sold for NDG Bucks!
